Hi ladies,

I know I have seen a thread here a few months ago regarding finding a pediatrician but can't find it.

My son was born at Al wasl and so I have been using their baby clinic (all part of the package) which has come to an end after his one year check up, hence looking for a good pediatrician.

I have looked at Cooper clinic and Health bay polyclinic, do any of you take your children to either? If so what are they like?

I want someone who will take the time to listen to my concerns and not rush me. My son turned one last month and I have a few minor concerns and want to be able to find a pediatrician that will not wave them off but will assess, listen and help.
Your recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Dr Loubser at Infinity is fabulous but can be difficult to get an apt with, if we can't get in to see him we see Dr Sean Petherbridge at Infinity too, he is a GP and very good too :) I second all of the above.

Dr. Syed rais ahmed at kids first is our ped- would recommend him highly. He is very patient and thorough. Doesn't prescribe meds unnecessarily. If insurance does t cover kids first clinic you can also see him at city hosp. He visits there twice a week. HTH

Where do you live? We see Dr Hamzah at Meadows Clinic (EHL-managed) and he's just brilliant with DS.

I moved DD from Healthbay to Dubai London Clinc where I see dr. Shola and am very very happy with her. She doesnt rush me and answer my questions. DD is generally healthy, but for a week she suffered with a horrid stomach bug, Shola kept me up to date on test results and called me to follow up how is DD doing.

Hi Desertrose, My baby is almost 4 months old and i see Dr Gupta at Cooper clinic , he is really lovely and listens and explains everything. He also gives you his personal number so if you have any questions or concerns you can text him and he always responds within a few hours. He is also quite laid back having worked in the UK for so many years , so he does not give lectures about things as i found with some other Drs here.
