Hi ladies! Hope it's ok to join in, though Im due in October... I'm 9 weeks+2 with my first, after trying for a while. Thankfully I'm feeling fine, just constantly tired (I do feel for all of you with constant nausea..) I'm seeing Dr. Jozsa and he is really nice and patient. A friend recommended him. I've noticed he has been recommended in the forum as well. Looking forward to sharing our experiences and hopefully meeting up (on weekends..). Have a great week :)

I still have hope for your #3. Honestly I believe God makes women forget about the nausea when our babies are born! Otherwise we'd never willingly put ourselves through it! The first time for me I was all like "This is terrible! I can't understand how there are so many babies in the world! Women are crazy! I'm never doing this again!!!" Lo and behold I'm having another (and you as well :-). We forget how bad it is and we think "Oh it wont be so bad" YEAH RIGHT!!! LOL you're right...Although I didn't forget the nausea of the 1st- I was just kinda hoping it wouldn't be so bad this time around hahaha BOY was I sooooo wrong lol Let'se see- I say no #3 right now...I'll let you know after I deliver if my opinion is still the same lol

Hi ummzarinah Thanks so much for that info. I think it a bit odd that you can't have a tour of the hospital, but each country does things differently. I shall look into City I think as have heard lots of good things. Hope all is going well for you.

Hi Bongo74, lin251, and KenzaB :-) There are alot of good doctors that have been recommended on this site and others. Amongst them Dr. Braithwaite (may have spelled that wrong) at American, Dr. Britt (think this doc is either at Welcare or City I forget), Dr. Luthra at Medcare, and a couple of others whose names I cannot remember. My firstborn was born in the US so I have zero experience with Obgyns in this country. Also there doesnt seem to be like an open house/tour of the hospital that can be arranged at these hospitals. I could be wrong because I've only looked online but definitely American, City, Welcare, and Medcare are the top 4 hospitals that all the ladies on here highly recommend.

Awww thanks so much, I'm excited for #2. I always wanted 3 kids... but I think after this one I'm done. This nausea is really taking it's toll on me :( I still have hope for your #3. Hi Cleo, congrats on your pregnancy!! I tried to get in with Dr. Elsa but she's booked up until July :-( I'm looking to have a successful VBAC as well insha'Allah and Dr. Elsa seems like the best choice. I did make an appointment with her in late June just in case I decide its best for me to switch doctors :-o Right now I'm scheduled to see Dr. Britt later this month, hopefully all goes well and I don't need to switch doctors that late in my pregnancy. In regards to the Bikram Yoga, its designed to keep the room temp and your body temp at 98 degrees. Everything that I've read says that as long as you aren't increasing your body temp you're fine. Its just like taking a bath or getting in a heated jacuzzi or sauna, anything over 100 is not recommended as that is increasing your body temperature and while you can sweat and cool down, the baby cannot. So as long as you aren't increasing your body temperature you're fine :-) Please let us know how you like the Pregnancy Project videos. I've never heard of them going to look them up now.... Awww thanks so much, I'm excited for #2. I always wanted 3 kids... but I think after this one I'm done. This nausea is really taking it's toll on me :( As for Dr.Elsa, I know, she has a long waiting list - it's unfortunate. I waited almost 6 months to see her last february when I wasn't pregnant just to make sure that when the time came, it wouldn't be a problem. I hope it works out with DR. Britt- and if you do decide to switch Dr's in the end, well at least you will be in good hands, and there's no doubts about that. I wish you luck on your VBac, I hope it goes well for you. Thanks so much about the info on Bikram. I got back into shape (somewhat) after having my son, with Bikram, and a place near my house just recently started offering classes that I was dying to try, but scared to because I was pregnant. I'll give them a call now lol The Pregnancy Project DVD's are great so far. They're low impact simple, yet very effective exercises. I'm only on month #2 CD right now, but the workouts are definitely beneficial. I just wish I could do them more often.. but again the nausea is just getting in the way :(

Hi Guys!! Joining in your group :P I'm 8 weeks pregnant with #2, being followed by Dr. Elsa at City hospital. I had a c-section with my son (who is now 2) and really really hoping for a VBAC now and Dr. Elsa is so supportive of that. (i love that woman). I'm not sure if I will end up delivering in Dubai...may go back home to Canada for that, just so I can be around family, but we'll see. Pregnancy is elhamdullilah going well, except for the horrible morning/all day sickness. I'm really hoping this will pass soon. I don't know how much more of it I can take :( I saw someone mention Bikram Yoga, while pregnant. To my knowledge, I didn't think it was safe, just because Bikram Yoga is also known as "hot" yoga and exposing your body to very high temperatures is bad for the fetus? That's what I was told anyways... With my last pregnancy i gained over 60lbs!!! Im''m determined NOT to do that again. It was my first- I wasn't careful and thought being pregnant meant lying around and eating. Boy was I wrong! I ordered this set of workout DVD's called the Pregnancy Project. It's 9 DVD's for the 9 months of your pregnancy with workouts to suit each stage. I just need to muster up the energy to start doing them lol They're done by Tracy Anderson. I'm also going to look into regular pre-natal yoga classes-should help with the pregnancy aches and pains :) edited by Cleo4e on 04/03/2013 Hi Cleo, congrats on your pregnancy!! Hello ladies Congrats to all. I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant with my first. All seems to be going well, barely feel pregnant - no morning sickness, just fatigue and a bit queasy from time to time. Currently with Dr. Yuliya at Cooper clinic who seems wonderful - but then i don't have a reference point! She came highly recommended, so let's see! Probably going to give birth at medcare, even though heard some not good things. Our view is that if you have the right Dr who will be there and listen to your wishes, the location shouldn't be that important. The majority are going to be far better than i could expect back in the UK anyway! I'm recovering from a back problem so also looking for gentle exercise that will keep me in shape while not being too difficult on my back. So far i've been in touch with a couple of providers - my physio clinic, Up and Running, offers Pre-natal pilates with an excellent instructor, and Pure fitness offers prenatal yoga. I think exhale and zen yoga also do prenatal classes too. My problem is that i work like a demon, and often travel with work and many of these are mid week, 11am or something which with my work commitments is never going to be possible. If you hear of any weekend classes then please do let me know, otherwise i think i'll just have to get a personal trainer who can fit in with my schedule. Again recommendations gratefully received! Looking forward to sharing the next few months with you, it's going to be a great learning curve!

Hello Ladies, Has anyone enrolled in any prenatal fitness classes? I'm really interested in taking up Bikram Yoga but the classes I found are all mixed and I don't really want to join a mixed class. Does anyone plan on taking antenatal classes? Where? With who? I heard about these antenatal classes by Cecile from a friend who took them when she was pregnant. She and her husband loved the classes. The instructors name is Cecile de Scally and her email and mobile are [email protected] 0555886298. The classes I believe are one day a week for four weeks @1500 AED. I know its early to be booking antenatal classes but anyone interested will at least have the info when needed :-) I've contacted her and am waiting for a response. Has anyone else heard of any other highly recommended classes? Has everyone picked a doctor? I have an appointment with Dr. Britt at City in 3.5 weeks. I'll be 16 weeks so perhaps they'll pro-rate their antenatal package :-/ Is anyone still having sickness/aversions to anything? What? I think, well I hope, my morning/all day sickness is over. I have an extreme aversion to sugar. Anything with the slightest amount of sugar makes me sick. Tried to eat a banana yesterday but my body said "No!" So I've lost some weight, I wish I could eat like this when I'm not preggo!! Is anyone having aches and pains? I was sleeping on my back the other day and got up to go cook dinner and everytime I put my foot down on the ground my lower back hurt immensely. It lasted for about 10 steps but it concerns me (and added to my motivation to do yoga!) I can't think of any other questions to ask at the moment. Just trying to liven this thread up a bit!!

Humm.. I am very surprised and disappointed to see that a part of my message about my negative experience with dr Braithwaite has been erased. I do have a friend who was with dr. Sant and she was extremely happy so for me it looks like I will be paying her a visit after my 12 week scan at the fetal centre. Hi KenzaB, You should try re-posting. I'm interested to hear what you have to say. I think though I've decided to go with City Hospital instead of American. I tried to get in with Dr. Elsa as there are GREAT recommendations on here about her and how pro natural and pro VBAC she is but I'm wait listed till July :-( I think I may end up choosing another recommended doctor at City and then if I really like Dr. Elsa in June then I can simply switch.

Hello, I am new to this so hello everyone and congratulations. I am 10 weeks today. Luckily I have not experienced morning sickness I am just tired all of the time. Has anyone had experience with Dr. Braithwaite at the American Hospital? edited by Happy4 on 20/02/2013 Hello Happy4, welcome :-) I don't believe anyone here has had any direct experience with Dr. Braithwaite but I've personally read a lot of good things about her, she's definitely worth a consult, I've scheduled one with her myself :-) Is this your first? You're very very lucky to have no nausea, I hope it stays that way for you :-)

Hello girlies, I just wanted to say. This is my second baby and I do have experience with dr Grace Jacobs. I didnt like the experience. As I had a high risk pregnancy before I did have to look far and beyond for a doctor and the only person I really trust is dr. George. Unfortunately he is in the process of moving clinics so until his new clinic kicks off I have no idea who to go to.
