Formerly called the International Media Production Zone (IMPZ), Dubai Production City is a tranquil, laid back community with a mix of properties to work and live in. High-rise to low-rise commercial and residential buildings occupy the area, with the nearby City Centre Me'aisem shopping mall offering a selection of stores, restaurants, entertainment options, and other services to choose from.

Dubai Production City was developed by the TECOM Group. The area was established as a free zone in 2003, and most companies in the specialise in media production and communication.

The neighbourhood is becoming an increasingly popular place to live and work among young professionals, executives, and small families as a majority of the housing facilities are affordable.

While the district is still in development and most of the scenery consists of the desert and towers, its neighbouring communities have an abundance of green spaces and amenities to enjoy on top of the existing facilities in Dubai Production City. As a result of the undeveloped lands, the area is spacious enough for joggers, bikers, and pet owners to take their dogs on walks.

Dubai Production City (IMPZ) is overall a budget-friendly, pet-friendly, and slightly secluded side of the emirate minus the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
