Recent news has announced that a new visa entry system has been approved, which aims to attract only the best individuals to the country.

The UAE Cabinet has approved an integrated entry visa scheme aimed at attracting qualified and highly talented professionals to live and work in the UAE.

Presided over by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the new system will be implemented in an effort to lure experts to work in vital sectors in the country.

About the new UAE visa system

It has been said that the implementation of the new visa entry system will occur over a number of phases; with the first including tourism, health and educational visas.

The second phase will then include talents acquisition in the health, scientific, research, technical and cultural fields.

HH Sheikh Mohammed himself Tweeted about the aims of the new system...

He added, "Future prosperity lies in the creative minds of our people; investing in people as an investment in our economy and success."

Each phase will be overseen by specialised committees, who will work to prioritise the sectors that will benefit from the talent acquisition visa. They will also work on a plan to attract regional and global talent.

At this time, the UAE's law does not permit permanent residency to foreign workers, and there's currently no indiciation of this being a possibility for those processed with the new visa entry system.

The official UAE Cabinet announcement also added that the new visa scheme will provide additional support to vital sectors in the UAE, like tourism, health and education, by strengthening their business areas and helping to promote their global competitive edge.

After all, the lifestyle, financial options and infrastructure are main advantages to attract talents and multinational companies to operate in the UAE.

How the new scheme will be implemented exactly hasn't been revealed, but we'll keep you updated on any further news.
