Saffron

Seems like a tale old remedy

But recent research shows that this red coloured spice may help you in fighting liver cancer.

While Saffron comes with a high price tag, consuming this highly delectable spice will improve your overall health.

Saffron has a major biomolecule, called Safranal, which apparently helps in stopping the cancer cell division in two different cancer stages:

  • Stops further cancer cell division
  • Promotes the death of unhealthy cancer cells

Chemists can then use this Safranal and develop it into medicinal drugs to fight off cancer cells in the body – including liver cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer.

The research done by UAE-based scientists has been undergoing progress since 2011 and it suggests a new invention in the way to use this expensive saffron spice.

Liver cancer in the UAE

According to statistics, liver cancer is the 5th leading cause of death in the UAE but is gradually decreasing thanks to the new invention in medicine and drug research.
