The team from Travel Counsellors UAE recently enjoyed an action-packed 4-day conference filled with education, inspiration, collaboration and of course, celebration. Held at the Desert Palm, Per Aquum in Dubai, the conference was attended by Travel Counsellors agents from the UAE, guests from the Travel Counsellors management team including Managing Director, Steve Byrne, head office staff, trusted suppliers, sponsors and partners, including headline sponsor DoSomethingDifferent.com.

The event was underpinned by the theme “my time is now” which reflected The Travel Counsellors aiming to make positive changes within their individual businesses and the teams collective aim to become known as ‘the most caring business in the world’. Visiting from The UK, Group Managing Director Steve Byrne delivered a speech that urged all Travel Counsellors to continue putting the customer at the centre of their business. By focusing on building strong relationships and putting together itineraries that deliver the best experience for the customer (instead of automatically choosing the product with a better commission), Travel Counsellors will be able to create a sustainable business built on integrity, high referral rates and a constant stream of repeat business.

While the conference attendees connected with suppliers and attended business sessions on everything from sales techniques to positivity, there was also plenty of time for fun with the Mexican themed poolside barbeque dinner on Monday night followed by the masquerade ball styled gala dinner and awards presentation on Tuesday night. With awards including ‘Best Newcomer’, ‘Most Helpful Travel Counsellor’ and ‘Top Travel Counsellor UAE’, there were many opportunities for Travel Counsellors of all business stages to win an award.
