It’s always exciting to see women in professions that are usually dominated by men and this incident is a pleasant one for female pilots.
Shaikha Moza Al Maktoum, a female member from Dubai’s ruling family Al Maktoum, took social media by storm yesterday when she uploading a video of her in action.
HH Moza was filmed addressing passengers in the cockpit of an Emirates aircraft while flying the plane to Milan, Italy.
She posted the video on Instagram less than 15 hours ago and had already warmed the hearts of social media users and received over 62,000 views in the first 12 hours.
Viewers can hear Sheikha Moza speaking over the plane’s microphone, saying: “Good morning ladies and gentleman, this is first officer Moza Al Maktoum speaking. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 35,000 feet and will be descending into Milan airport shortly.”
About Shaikha Moza’s Career
As the first female pilot of the Al Maktoum ruling family, she started her piloting career back in February 2017 when she assisted an Emirates flight as a commercial pilot.
And ever since then has been snapping gorgeous pictures of her destinations around the world and giving her social media followers little snippets of life inside the cockpit.
