Coronavirus UAE: All Events Postponed Over COVID-19 Concerns

Theme parks in Dubai will temporarily shut down.

As part of their precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the UAE, Dubai authorities announced that all events will be postponed and rescheduled to a later date this year.

This is inclusive of concerts, sporting events, parties, weddings, festivals, nightclubs, and other organised public gatherings. The decision was announced as part of the UAE health authorities' precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak.

All hotels, entertainment halls, facilities, etc. will be banned from hosting gatherings from March 15. In a circular released by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, all events will be suspended until the end of March.

"Dubai Tourism will continuously evaluate the situation in coordination with the health authorities," it added.

Major entertainment hubs Dubai Parks and Resorts, Motiongate, and Legoland, will be closed until the end of March.

The Abu Dhabi and Ajmans governments have also temporarily closed operations for all entertainment destinations, such as movie theatres, lounges, and arcade centres from March 15 until April.
