With the chance to win AED 1,000 to spend on fitness gear and equipment!

The citywide event celebrating all things wellness and fitness is back! From October 18 to November 16, 2019, the Dubai Fitness Challenge invites UAE residents to take part in a series of invigorating community-led fitness, sport, and educational events for the betterment of their health.

It's palpable electricity in the air that makes you want to sign up for a yoga sesh at the park with your girlfriends or take on that marathon run with your colleagues.

The unbridled excitement feels great - but admittedly, it’s hard to maintain in the long run, especially for 30 whole days. Whether it’s due to time-consuming plans or overambitious goals, finding yourself in a fitness rut is all too common.

To keep that motivation burning, our team here at ExpatWoman is calling on readers to join us as we take on the 30-day fitness challenge by pledging to use 30 minutes each day on a workout, fitness activity, or sport.

Those who pledge with us will gain exclusive access to our new fitness group, "Fitness and Weight Loss in Dubai", and a chance to win AED 1,000 to spend on workout gear!

In this group, fellow fitness lovers can talk and share fitness tips, recommended gyms and trainers, workout routines, join like-minded women on their weight loss journeys, and much, much more. Made by women, for women, and comprised of women, we're the support team that will help you close those 30 minutes every day.

For all group members, we'll also be sharing dedicated guides on how to best ramp up your activity from October to November and beyond.

What is the Dubai Fitness Challenge

Kickstarted in 2017 as a citywide movement led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government, the Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages everyone in the emirate to exercise for at least 30 minutes for 30 consecutive days.

It's mission? To promote a more active lifestyle among residents and nationals in the UAE. The commitment meant getting their daily #Dubai30x30 completed.

After its first run, nearly 1 million people from the government, companies, schools, universities, and the general public joined the new initiative.

In 2018, over 4,000 free fitness sessions, facilities, sports, and weekend exercise fun carnivals were enjoyed by more than 1 million Dubai residents from schools, the government, corporates, and the entire community.

For its third run in 2019, the Dubai Fitness Challenge looks to bringing even more fitness opportunities across the city.
