In Pictures: Dubai's Thunderstorm Was EPIC This Weekend

It was like any other rainy day in Dubai... The skies were grey and a light drizzle didn't stop anyone from venturing outside. But around 6pm, the skies blackened and some of the most stunning views ensued over Dubai. 

It's been years since the Emirate has seen weather like it, so for many residents and visitors here, it's no doubt the most bizarre and awe-inspiring weather they've seen during their time living here.

Thanks to social media, even if you missed the sights, these 12 images and videos we've found pay testimony to how much of a great storm it was... And kudos to those who braved the elements to capture these images!
