I am not married and don’t have children, I might assume also the age wrong of this boy but he is surely around 6 years old or at least not above 8 years old as he looked really small.

He has a medium blonde hair (not too short for a boy) and he was riding his little bicycle next to Springs 2 but on the main road (not inside the Springs 2 compound itself). I think there is a school near Spinneys and maybe he was riding back home but was not carrying any school bag on his bicycle and I don’t think he was wearing a school uniform.

He was all by himself while I saw 4 workers standing looking there at him and smiling for him, I waited in my car until he crossed them safely and then completed my drive.

It was 2pm in the afternoon and the little boy is not wearing any hat on his head.

I don’t have any experience with children but I thought that I what I saw was not right and I don’t think any mother should leave little boys or girls alone without supervision.

Also illegal to ride a bike without a helmet.... Interesting statement, so much fun could be had with it.

I see little kids playing all time outside in late afternoon or in the morning on their bicycles but that’s inside the compound and someone is always there watching them. My concern was that the boy was really a small little boy, riding bicycle on a main road, not wearing a hat on his head at 2pm (the sun is really strong at this time) and I didn’t like the workers’ attitude. He is a very handsome little boy and after all the terrible stories I read in newspapers, I was scared for his safety. JS your feeling are correct and well done for watching out for the little chap. Some parents are just idiots.

I hope that the little boy's parents become aware of this if they didn't already know and that someone like you was watching out for his safety

Everyone is going to have their own opinions JS. Our DS is 3 and we let him run around the yard if we're not outside. But only if the gate is locked and he has to be in our sight. I'm usually inside right beside the window with our other DS. As for riding a bike by himself, especially on a main road concerns me. We have little kids in our community that run on the streets without any supervision around and they are around 3 yrs old. There are so many thing that can happen, especially when some people drive without slowing down for people crossing roads.
