Good morning. Has anyone been to the beach in Ghantoot recently and managed to hire a chalet for the day? I recall someone telling me that this could be done quite cheaply (around AED 70-100 per person). I was wondering where and how we can book this. I know the Golden Tulip Al Jazira has Bungalows but having just called them these can only be hired per night and are AED 950. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

The Bungalows at Ghantoot is great, they are rented out as rooms. They also have permanent residence. You can call Ghantoot Reception at 025109535 . The GHantoot Bungalow Resort Manager's name is Faten in case you don't come right at Reception but they are quite helpful. Livinia are you talking about Golden Tulip? Your opinion about food??are they licensed??? I've seen the golden tulip website...it seems very espensive. Where are the bungalows in UAQ???under which name ???I would like to check in internet.

Sorry yes, I always forget they just built a new one - was up there yesterday, it's hidden behind the original one, which is why I forget about it. Don't know what they're like inside.

he Golden Tulip is under new management so they might not do it anymore. UAQ has ONE little shalet that you can rent, not sure if they do it by the day though, but you don't get the hotel facilities that you have at Ghantoot, because it's just a marine club.
