Hi there,

I'm currently having laser hair removal at a salon that uses Lightsheer Duet and it's going really well, although is expensive. I've just seen a dealgobbler for a much reduced price and it uses a Diode laser.

I just called them (K Medi Spa) and was told they had no idea if it would be similar.

Does anyone know if it is?

I love where I'm going but the hours are really bad as I work long hours.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

FFx

Hi is the painless laser as effective as the traditional one. have checked at a no of spas but the painless ones say they r better Nd the traditional ones say otherwise. I have thick and coarse hair at my legs and soft hair at my arms. Will the painless one be as effective for the legs? Secondly, went for a consultation at one of the centers.. Having a traditional laser machine but they said laser won't be effective on my arms while when I went to the ones with painless they said can do the whole body effectively. really stressed out in finding the better one.

Hi there, i am not sure if this can help you but i'm using soprano XL diode Laser at a clinic in Jumeirah, which is pain free laser hair removal & it's not that expensive and i'm also going there after 6pm (I'm very happy with the results), you can read more here http://issuu.com/wellbeingmedicalcentre/docs/wmc-pain-free-laser

I asked the same question to the Lumenis Sales Director in the Middle East a while ago, and he told me that the LightSheer Duet is a Diode laser system. So they are both the same.

Try this link. As far as I can gather the Lightsheer Duet is a diode system using one wavelength as opposed to the IPL (intense pulsed light) system which uses a broad range of wavelengths. http://www.hairremoval.org/which-laser-machine-is-best-for-hair-removal/ Also try this link for further information http://www.cosmeticsurgerytoday.co.uk/
