for those of you that chart etc, and "feel" ovulation, how does this correlate with your fertile window, i.e is it too late once you feel it? If you were using this in combination with OPK's would you see an LH surge before/after or at the same time as you have ovulation pains.

Just wanted to update this thread in case it was helpful to anyone else who is breastfeeding and trying to conceive. AFter trying and failing for a while, I ignored the OPKs and went with "feeling" ovulation. I was pregnant a few days after writing this original post below. :)

kiwispiers, when I was charting I realized that it is very difficult to feel ovulation when it occurs. I researched extensively and found you can get pain or cramping before, during and even after ovulation has occured.

perfect, I'm thinking (hoping) I'm just missing my LH surge by time of day as the line was darker than the days before but not dark enough to count. Next cycle will try doing a few OPK tests a day a for a day or 2 after I feel what I am hoping is the beginning of ovulation (feels like a period cramp in my back). Babykiwi might not have to have his feeds cut back after all :) wish me luck

When I was charting (I used a combination with OPKs for this pregnancy) I felt it right before (like the day before) I would see an LH surge.
