queues at the bar - rubbish queues for the ladies toilets - rubbish Really? Never any queues on the loos I went to - the ones actually in the tennis stadium, NOT the IV. Billy Ocean was fantastic - he's such a funky dude, looked to be really enjoying himself and what a voice! Just brilliant! yep - in the main toilets i counted 10 people in front of me at one point - and that didn't include the line as it went round the corner! didn't spoil the evening though - as you say, what a voice!

I thought it was a great concert, and he performed brilliantly. Could have done with more food options though - an 85 AED buffet was all that was available (which was good) but if you just wanted a snack you were out of luck.

Just wanted to say, even though it was a Saturday night, Billy Ocean was FANTASTIC last night! :) Would have been even better if IV had sorted out taxi's at the end of concert, we came out and no taxi's were to be seen - rubbish!

The organizers had actually approached the government when this was being booked a few months ago and were told no, the dry night would be Saturday night and that the Fri night was definitely not dry. Bit unfair I thought. Anyway, I'm still going to go. I probably won't spend as much given that it's a school night :)

It's not because it's dry it's been cancelled/postponed it's because as well as serving alcohol, holding of entertainment and parties is forbidden as it's a Holy occasion. You'd think the organisers would be aware that this might happen here and be savvy enough not to book entertainers for a possible Islamic Holiday, wouldn't you? exactly what I was thinking when this thread first opened

Damn, flip and fiddlesticks! :) :( yep!! It looks like a certainty - added to that no bank holiday!! Did Time Out say how we would get our money back for the tickets?
