Hi all

Sorry I know this may have been asked before but Im wondering what my new Sri Lankan housemaid has to do on a visa run. She was in Dubai on a tourist visa so has to leave the country. Ive booked FlyDubai to Oman (Muscat) for a visa run. My question is whether she stays in the transit area once leaving the plane in Oman or does she try to enter Oman?

Hi Dubaimum1, I am about to send our helper to Muscat. Did your lady have any problems? Did she simply get off the plane, go through transit and straight on the plane back - without going through immigration. So was 45 minutes enough time. Then she showed her pink slip on the way back into Dubai? I would sooooo appreciate your advice - I am worried about her doing this on her own. Thank you Kerry

Great, thanks for the replies! Immigration here have said no problem with Oman and she has the pink slip to re-enter so fingers crossed it will all go ok.

It is fine to go to Oman. But she should stay in the transit area and not go through immigration. Did this with my sri lankan maid a couple of weeks ago. Super easy :)

She should exit out of UAE and should have an exit stamp and then enter with her new visa. it doesnot matter where she is gone. but pls check with dubai immigration dept before sending her to oman.
