accommodation right until the last day of their contract?

A friend of mine works at a primary school here, and she's resigned and found a new job, now her lease agreement provided by her school runs out at the end of June, but her actual contract finishes at the end of July... would she be entitled to that one months accommodation either in cash or be able to stay in school accommodation for one extra month since her contract is not up?

She just wants to know whether or not its worth asking for it, and wouldn't want to rock the boat if she's not really entitled to it

TIA

Hi again, Just to clarify she hasn't broken her contract, it runs out at the end of July, and when they asked if she would like to renew she had declined. Her lease on the school accommodation is until the end of June, but her employment contract runs out at the end of July... so I guess she should be entitled to the one month accommodation? In those circumstances, yes she would be.

I take it to mean that her accomodation contract runs out end of June and her employment contract will finish end of July, so yes, they will need to accomodate/reimburse her for one month.

If she is breaking the contract by resigning she may lose entitlement to the contractual benefits including accomodation. good point or has the contract come to an end and she did not re sign?

If she has resigned she will lose the entitlement to stay in Company accommodation past the last day of her notice period. It is only if the company terminates an employe that they can stay in company accommodation for 30 days after the end of their notice period.

Yes she should be entitled to accommodation until the end of her employement contract regardless of circumstances.
