I am not sure what I paid because I had vouchers but I think they are around AED2k, not 100% sure, I think HeyCutie and I have the same one and it does do a decent sized area but the washable filters are the best, they take a while to dry particularly in summer but you should see the stuff that comes out of them. Yuck. hi...can you please tell me the model number of your lg purifier? i need one without humidifier cause our apartment already have humidity issues.thanks

My house is situated in very polluted area and so dust is the major problem in my house. On recommendation of a friend, I have installed a ventilation system [url=http://www.brw.com.au/p/entrepreneurs/george_gregan_backs_fast_growing_vXo5VNHO43hXsfSi8iRmYP'>ventis[/url'>. There is freshness in air now. Ventis has metal grade filters that remove all dust and allergens from air and improve indoor air quality, make it safe for you to breathe.

It sounds like littleone and I had the same model - with no humidifier (it's white). We chose it for its washable filters, HEPA filter, looks, quietness. It also easily had enough capacity for our 3 bed apartment or our 3 bed villa. It wasn't the cheapest one out there but definitely worth every penny. We bought ours at Dubai Mall on the top floor - either PlugIns or SharfDG (sorry, don't recall which store).

My purchase was based on price and looks alone, and it was without the humidifier. I didnt want to have to keep filling it up and guaranteed i would forget and it would dry out and blow up. It also has a night mode, which means no lights on when you are sleeping and its a quieter setting. During dust storms it follows me around the house, I move it to which ever room I am in and it helps with the air quality.

Thanks so much for your feedback ladies, greatly appreciated. Family members have dust allergy which then causes allergic asthma/wheeze to kick in. We're in an apartment and there's just so much dust coming through aircon vents - maintenance tell me there's no problem. Yesterday I bought adhesive valcro strips, tulle fabric and I'm going to make my own stick on filters for vents which I can take off and wash. Can I ask which model LG purifiers you both have and how did you come to purchase that particular model, was it based on size of area that it was going to be used in?

We've also had the LG purifier - we bought it when we were living in an apartment and the neighbour's strong cooking smells and cigarette smoke were flowing into our apartment through the ventilation system. It definitely helped. We then used it in our villa to keep the air clean from dust and kept it running on auto 24/7. It has sensors so it kicks on stronger if need be during dust storms or smells. Loved the fact that the filters were washable.

Yes, I use the LG air purifier as I have a dust allergy, it helps immensely particularly when we get dust storms. I use the purifier every night and have our AC regularly cleaned and I clean the air vents every few months. The LG purifier is washable and has a HEPA filter, its one of the main reasons I got it, I didnt want to have to pay to replace the filters and you dont know how often they are available in Dubai. If you do a google search on air purifiers there is a lot of information.
