I think people just get used to sending stuff out [when it's dry-cleaning'> and doing the rest at home. After all, white goods are fairly inexpensive here and just about all villas and apartments [in the expat zones at least'> have internal laundries or space for washers/dryers. And in summer, well ... !! I can do a load of washing in the morning, stick it on the line and hey presto! It's dry less than an hour later. :D

Thanks both! It is weird that they aren't around. I guess it's because there are affordable laundry services... problem is you have to wait 48 hours as far as I understand? Would be useful to just pop to a laundromat and be able to take your load back home with you.

They are common back home, but funnily I haven't seen any here period.

I've not seen one in this area, but could be wrong. The closest you might get is having to drop off a 'bag wash' to one of the dry-cleaning places. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Anyone know if there is a laundromat (where I can do my own washing and drying) anywhere near Meadows? Thanks!
