I totally did! Wonderful game, and an utterly deserved win from the boys in Blue. Great finish to the weekend. :)

Bump to thank people who may not have seen my post below last night. Other things on your mind, I suspect, like winning the cricket! Congrats again! :)

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU everyone. Last night's playlist was a huge huge hit with our guests and I scored major brownie points as a result. :D We ended up having almost all Indian/Bollywood music throughout the evening because as soon as my -- I think, quite fab Latin chill-out tunes commenced -- I was urged to change the music back to the Bollywood stuff! LOL! They'd never been to a party hosted by westerners, allegedly, where 'their' music was played so the night was a very happy one. Loads of fun. Thank you so much again for all your help. xxxx

Well, it's a drinks [both non- and alcoholic'> party with lovely canapes ... A cocktail party, really. But it runs into the evening and I want people to feel in a 'party mood'. It's being held outside [mostly'> in a lovely garden with firelights, a pool ... I want really great music to set the scene. I don't necessarily want people to dance, but I do want them to feel happy and 'up' if that makes sense. I've been trawling through all sorts of Bollywood stuff but I really, in all honesty, know nothing. Most of the stuff I have on my Pod -- Indian stuff -- I've just picked up in passing. But I am keen to learn more and I really want the guests we'll have -- a large number of them will be Indian -- to feel in a party mood. :) Sorry, probably not helping much, but ... that's where I am at. :D

The hot bollywood numbers are Sheila ki jawani and Minni badnam hui ( both are cheesy nightclub numbers) Sorry would google it for you and post links but DD is driving me mental right now!

Are you looking for bollywood songs? They never fail to get people dancing but may not be appropriate if its a more formal affair.

.. what makes them smile? What makes them swing their hips and enjoy the music? :) I know what I like to hear [!!'> but I'm not sure an endless loop of 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' and 'Kajra Re' will do it for a party of sophisticated Indian guests, such as I'm expecting tomorrow night. Doesn't have to be Bhangra-style; just some great music. :) I need some ideas, girls, and I'm happy to download a good selection from iTunes of great tracks that make you feel happy and in party mood. Thank you in advance, to anyone who can help. Just a name or a link to youtube or whatever: at this stage I'll be thrilled to learn about new music. I am putting together a play list for a party and need some ideas! It's the least you can do, given I've been supporting India in the cricket! :D
