Hi Ladies, Been out of Dubai for a few years now and possibly returning soon. I am looking for an FS1 place for DD in the Mirdif area, got appointments with Star, Gems Royal Dubai and Deira Intl. Can you advise your opinions, totally confused and don't want to make a balls up!

Thanks x

I am also at RDS and very happy. EBN for FS1 is actually more expensive then RDS if she goes full time (or atleast was last time I compared).

I wouldn't worry about friend groups. Kids that age make and change friends quickly and there is a lot of children coming and going at all times in Dubai.

Thanks Ladies, I did think of EBN as DD went there before we left Dubai and they were fantastic. I just worry that friend groups would already be formed by FS2 and we have pulled her out of 2 nurseries already in her short life as we have moved twice. however this move is more permanent so think she needs stability now. We will go for the look see's but it's good to know that you are both happy with RDS it might make our decision easier. x

We are also at RDS and also very happy. I think it's a very stressful thing to choose a school and can't imagine having to do it from afar. Have you considered enrolling her in one of the nurseries for her FS1 year and deciding once you've had a bit more time next year? Both my DD's are/were at Emirates British Nursery and I couldn't be happier. DD1 Joined FS2 without a hiccup. Her letter recognition etc were absolutely on a par with those who'd started at school in FS1 so no worries there. The other benefit to doing a nursery year first would be that your child would have a shorter day, which might help with settling in after the move. Anyway, just a thought.

All I can say is that my DD goes to RDS and I am very happy with it.
