But do remember reading a book in the 80s about someone/something called Ralph?? It was a no go name after...But can't remember for the life of me what it was??? Any light to be shed??? Lord of the Flies? Nope... Wasn't that! Was thinking Adrian Mole but i reckon it was racier (and stolen off a parent).... Please help or i will be thinking of Ralph all weekend... Forever by Judy Blume? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forever_(novel) The character Michael refers to his penis as Ralph throughout. YES... Thats it!!! Bravo!!!!!! Well it was racy to a 14yr old in 1983...lol Thanks. Now i don't have to think of Ralph all weekend!

Captainjacky- I think I know the book you mean, I remember a fairly racey Judy Blume book where a man called his *ahem* parts Ralph? I'm gonna look really silly if that not what you're thinking of!

While we are on the subject....well a slight tangent anyway....just where DID dd, ds, dh come from? I fnd them pretty nauseating expressions but find myself using them anyway. As i said earlier, just going to call everyone Alan from now on. Why Alan? Can't stand that name. I throw the question back at you Alan.......why not????? Reminds me of the creepy kid I had to sit next to **and share a book with ** in seventh grade, who constantly fondled himself when he wasn't doodling in my textbook. There is nothing worse than someone doodling in your textbook.

i cant stand dorter. if you dont use DD and insists on typing the word, what's the big friggin' difference between typing "dorter" and "daughter"? 2 letters ... saved much time? Because Dorter means dormitory and does not mean daughter....... Unless you have a really really bad opinion of your daughter that is. i agree with you izzy99 ... i meant to say "if you're trying to save time by typing "dorter", you didnt really, did you because it's only 2 letters shorter than "daughter"" ... i agree with you ;) oops - sorry hun ;)

Blech, can't stand "text writing" - and while I am slowly training myself to use those acronyms like DH and DS, more often than not I type husband and go back and correct it!
