lspearing I dont know about Eat & Drink in Barsha but there is one in Um Suqeim, take Al Wasl going towards Dubai, take the first left (waaayyy before the traffic lights) and its just down there on the left.

What a fantastic thread. Havent had a shawarma for ages... Live up in Jebel Ali and though my nearest was Eat & Drink on Al Wasl opposite Safa Park area. Can someone PLEASE give me directions to the Eat & Drink in Al Barsha?? Also, directions for Ijaza on the beach road?? I can feel my excitment mounting and my mouth watering...... Thanks ladies

I'd say Falcon Jumeirah Shawarma outlet, by the mosque at Iranian Hospital. The best I've had in Dubai besides the IKEA one. I've had brilliant shawarma here. It's my local one and the best, is they deliver so i don't even have to get off my fat a$$ to get them :)

I have to bookmark this thread :) We had the best shawarmas in the world in Muscat at a place called Istanboly restaurant, and the only one thats cme close to it is Beirut and Al Mallah. Have to try out these other ones now ....yummmmm

Lulu, Al Barsha do a spicy or 'not spicy' for 3.90dhs. Very nice, the size of a small rugby ball and best eaten waiting on the free beach next to Jumeirah Beach Park waiting to collect the kiddly winks. Also like Automatic (Beach Centre) and Ikea, knocks spots off the rubber hot dogs!

I think the best shawarma's in New Dubai are found in Mall of the Emirates: Beirut [Ski Dubai food court'> for the shawarma roll (specify small size, somehow they're tastier than the big rolls) and Karam [Carrefour food court'> for the shawarma platter.

The little cafe place next door to Geant in Ibn Battuta (at the top of the food court); they do two types spicy and non-spicy. 5 or 7 dhs I think! MMmmmm! Mouth watering now :) And they do a lovely cuppa tea too :) :)

If you are up to a drive to Sharjah, Jebal Lebnan has the best! And pretty cheap! They are on Abdel Nassr st I believe. <em>edited by gusncoley on 06/03/2011</em>

We LOVE Eat & Drink in Umm Sequim right by Kings School - food is excellent and so reasonable - DH, DS and I can leave there completely stuffed for about Dhs.70 that includes fresh juices. Shwarmas are Dhs.5 I think. Always makes me think when we are sat outside looking at Jum Beach Hotel that some of the hotel guests would love to know about the great little restaurant just around the corner!!

Union co-op opposite safa park does lovely ones for 4AED. The problem is the service is off hand at best, surly at worst and you have to fight to actually make them see you and serve you if you are a white western woman (my husband has no such problems being served).
