Hi NinaSimone, I'd love to catch up with other first time Mum's! Sounds great! I'm due early Sept with #1 & getting excited! There is also another Due Sept 2011 thread going, I think we lost this one, hence why noone has written on it recently.. I'll bump the other one up too! :)

I'm due mid September and braving the summer heat! Anyone else due with their first baby in September? I would love to meet for coffee this week and get to know other Mum's before D-Day! Let me know.

It's my first baby and I'm just past 4 and half months and no longer look as though I ate all the pies and have a nice little bump now! Yay. Thought it would never happen! My 20 week scan will be at the Foetal Medical Centre just near City hospital. My (City) doctor told me to book it there, so I expect that is what you are meant to do as well. I really don't think the summer needs to be miserable! I think we will have to keep weird timetables, eg: getting up really early before it is to hot to go on a walk. Swimming in a (cooled!) pool to kep fit. Malls, even though they get boring, cinema, making our houses lovely ready for babies arrival, all that stuff. It will be fine! Hope everyone's pregnancies are going well! x

Wow there is a nice bunch of September babies .... This is my first baby and im still quite clueless so I have a few questions: Have any of you started any antenatal classes yet? Also, Ive been traveling a lot so the last scan I had was at 12 weeks at FMC so when is my next one due? Is it 20 weeks? And do you usually have the 20 weeks scan at FMC or just with your Dr? I was with DR Ekaterina at City but she has left so I'm a bit in limbo not knowing where to go or who to see. Zavitz - your husband sounds exactly like mine. When the DR said there is a high chance it's a girl he looked devastated and is now in denial as he had planned all these adventures that he was going to do with his new son. Obviously i reminded him that babies can't really venture out much but he is convinced ours will be able to ski and fish and go diving as soon as he is born!!! Let's all definitely make a plan to meet up in July. Oh and also to any first timers, how pregnant are you looking and what's your weight gain been like???

Hi, I am expecting my first on the 21st September. I am not living in Dubai at the moment and wont be permanently until after the baby arrives, he or she will be born in the UK. But I am going to visit my husband for June and July and would love to meet up with other mothers. Such an exciting and scary time for us all x

Hi everyone! We are expecting our 3rd September 5. I'm not moving out to Dubai though till after the baby's born. (we are in Belgium). Hubby is leaving tomorrow to start his new job in Dubai, so we have some tough months ahead. I would really like to meet up once we have arrived in Dubai, feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment with starting a new life and creating one at the same time! Congratulations to all of you!

Hi You just need to phone the hospital up of your choice. You should get an appointment within a few weeks. Maybe find out what hospitals are covered on you insurance and go from there. Im sure lots of people can reccomend there doctors to u once u know what hospital to choose from. Good luck with the move in April. Be great to catch up in the summer as dubai is like a ghost town in the summer :) We're officially in the second trimester now yaaaay!! I haven't yet moved out to Dubai, coming out at the end of April once I've had my 20 week scan in the UK. What should I do once I get out in relation to getting a doctor appointment? I'm covered under my husband's health insurance (didn't think I was originally) but I'm not sure how the healthcare system works. Do I arrange an appointment with the hospital first?

September 1st for us! This is our second. We had our first here in American Hospital with Dr. Badi from Healthcare Poly Clinic on Al Wasl Rd. The clinic is great there for before and after! The midwives are fantastic! I Was soooooooo overwhelmed when we found out b/c our first wan't even a year at the time...they will be 18.5 months apart when this one is due! I am also working so I have a lot to sort out!!!!!! YIKES! We are going to try to go home for a short period at the beginning of July but be back 6 weeks before the due date! (Can't imagine what 14 hours on a plane is going to be like with a massive belly!) It would be great to arrange some coffee mornings in the summer to help us all keep our sanity! :) We kept the *** of the first one a surprise and no one ruined it for us which was lovely. It was sooo nice finding out right at the end. This one we think we are going to find out b/c DH is dying for a boy! He is going to need some grieving time if it is another girl. lol

I would definitely be up for meeting up/going to the one of the coffee mornings I haven't yet moved to Dubai - coming out in April from Sunny Scotland, so would be good to meet people as babies and Dubai are all completely new to me!! I am also totally dreading the summer, I've heard the heat is horrendous, but I suppose we're as well to be heavily pregnant during the summer when you can't do anything anyway!

Hi Fairycakeyumm, yes it's my first. I had a miscarriage in November so Ive been so stressed out and worried the last few weeks and randomly turning up at the hospital for scans to make sure bubs is still in there !! Anyway now I feel I can finally relax and focus on all the fun things like buying all the adorable clothes and crib and swings and all that great stuff :) Ive chosen City Hospital but my Dr has just left so now Im waiting to meet the replacement. I'll be staying here for the birth but travelling to the US during Summer to get away from the crazy heat. Lets all plan to meet up so we can share tips as I have no clue about anything and would love to talk to others about it all :)

Seems so sureal to be honest, been in and out and of doc and scans, feeling a little deflated at the moment just wish I could enjoy the experience. Does anyone know about good antenatal packages?
