Hi,
Many ideas coming from my previous as a parenting advisor....
You could laminate your own chart and draw on happy faces, this way they can be wiped off and the chart reused. If you want to make it more fun for your child, there are lots of resources online for parents...colouring in type reward charts are great which will keep your child interested. Sparklebox is a great site for parents but there are 100's with printable resources. Or you could make a ladder and use a picture to go up the ladder, again this can be re-used. It is always good to negotiate what the reward will be before you get started. i once worked with a parent who was talked into rewarding their child with a dog!!! Never agree if you can't follow through with it. ;)
Hi Tweeti
If you don't have a whiteboard, you could just draw / make your own... I do a really simple table in Powerpoint and print a new one off each week and put it on the fridge. I got a big book of stickers from Borders from their dhs10 section (saw it by chance, but it is actually called Reward Stickers and it literally has more than 1000 stickers in it so is perfect!). For every sticker they earn, they get 1dhs 'pocket money' (it goes straight in to their piggy bank at the end of the week and then every now and again they can get some out and go and choose something to buy - Lego is a big thing for them at the moment, so we are saving more than spending so they can get something they really would like). Working well for mine (ages 5 and 4). HTH :-)
I really need to start using reward charts for my DD.
But Iam not sure how do you do it.
If I get one laminated, how do you create stickers for the chart???
