So both my oven and dishwasher decided to give up together and now "in Ramadan", I went to check the options in the market and they were hundreds! ... Give me your recommendations, what brands do you use and how is it doing?

Just bought a F&P oven gas on top fan assited electric on bottom, much more shelves and racks than all the others I've seen on the market. Price an ouch aed 5399. I saw a Bompani electric fan assited oven with gas on top at carrefour today for aed 3999.

Yes Ashes. Back in the UK if you call for a F&P engineer to look at your appliance it tends to be a Zanussi engineer and Zanussi also manufacture an identical 2 drawer Dish washer but tend to be a little cheaper. LG are really good, especially the front loaders which are really quiet and hard wearing as they have no motor to break down! As my Mum always says "you buy cheap, you buy twice!"

I bought them over 5 years ago and cannot remember the prices but they were quite expensive compared to some on the market but they were no where near as expensive as a lot out there!!! Pop into Better Life and have a look around. will sure do this. thanks

Hi Rebecca, I never realised that Zanussi and FP were 'related'. Yes, they are more expensive but have been worth every fil spent on them as I have never had a problem with either of them and they both still look brand new even though they are well used. I also have the LG toploader washing machine and, same thing, what a pleasure! Sometimes it is worth spending a little more to start with.

I have the 2 drawer Fisher&Paykel dishwasher and absolutely love it as you can run the 2 drawers separately. For my stove I have the Zanussi with electric oven and 2 electric hobs with 4 gas and, again, absolutely love it - great for baking and cooking and so easy to keep clean. We got both at Better Life 5 years ago and they still look like new! Fisher&Paykel are really very good and are linked to the company who own Zanussi so I would say that's a pretty good call!! not cheap though!

It's fab cleans very well and a number of programmes on it..before I had a bompani dishwasher and it was useless so this dishwasher is 10 out of 10, oh I like the look of the lg washing machine was looking at that the other day but my dh wasn't keen on the price tag :( LG seem s like a safe brand to go with.

With two kids around, the minimum that could happen is some typing mistakes. I need a washing machine and a gas with oven. So any other ideas?
