Hi ladies,

Has anyone taken classes from Online Trading Academy (Knowledge village)? Any comments are welcome. Currently I'm thinking whether to take a course about Forex....

Thanks,

xia

Hi Xia, really sorry not to get back to you earlier I dont check this forum often. If you or anyone else wants more info in a timely way feel free to send me an email at akraptisatyahoo.com and I will be happy to give you more info on my experience with OTA. I do some online trading and yes what I learned at OTA is very helpful as it puts structure around it all, so that you actually have a defined strategy. Trading does take up a lot of time and you need to be disciplined and organized to fit in a balanced life - with the kids - just like with any job. OTA does help you to open up an account, currently they use TRADE STATION which is from the USA, as the focus is on US stocks. They can also help with some other brokers with whom they have a relationship. I saw on their schedule that they have a course on indian stocks so I imagine they have a broker that they use for Indian stocks. Goodluck and feel free to email me any questions

Hi Anna, Thank you very much for your feedback. Have you started trading on-line already? Did they help you to open an account with the broker's company here in Dubai? Have you recognised that the knowledge you learned in OTA helped you a lot in your trading? I'm working full time and am considering whether to give up work or not just do On-line Trading at home as I need spend sometime with my children and currently my work takes up too much of my time. What do you think?

Hi xia, I have been taking a stock trading course with the guys at OTA and have been quite impressed. I am not 100% sure that I want to be a trader but I know I want to learn more about it so I signed up for the course. I am really enjoying it, it is a good way to learn more about the marketd and to meet other people who are investors or traders. OTA brings their instructors from abroad and they are very experienced knowledgeable people. Only thing I dont like is that the classes are late - from 6pm til 11pm. Then my kids wake up at 6am so i am exhausted at the end of the day. The other thing I didnt like is that if you go to your free session to learn about their product they give you the hard sell at the end of the talk - ie if you sign up then and their they give you a discount but if you dont sign up on the spot you wont get the discount. I dont like this kind of hard sell it makes me uncomfortable and their product is good so I dont think they need to do this kind of selling technique. Anyway inspite of this I did sign up for the course and so far it is exceeding my expectations. Good luck with your trading - I think it is a great idea to invest in some education cause the markets are pretty tough.
