Hi myself and my 2 children's visit visa runs out tomorrow, however I was sure I read somewhere you have an automatic 10 day extension to either extend this, apply for visa permit or do the visa run to Oman. Does anyone know if this is correct and if not what to do?

i think it depends on your nationality... unfortunatly everyone is treated different here... i read over and over again that you do in fact have a 10 day grace period... and then after those 10 days you are fined 100 dirham per day per person that you go over your stay.... we had to do a visa run so i called the airport and immigration multiple times leading up to our departure to comfirm this (wanted to speak to multiple people because what one person says even if its an official isnt always right) but i got the same answer each time and that was that i will have no problem there is in fact a 10 day grace period... even though multiple people and officials reassured me of this i didnt want to risk it (not that i thought we would be "in trouble" i just dint want to have to pay the fine) so we still flew out at 30 days... we are actually due for another tomorrow and are going to attempt the drive to oman for the first time. good luck whatever you decide....
