if you follow temperatures as closely as i do, you would have seen that we had a very late summer, it was not that hot well into mid April, in fact we may have had a similar thread on how the tempeartues are lovely in May ! IIRC, max during June was almost always under 38C, when its traditionally 42+ The coldest days of this winter was in 2nd week of Feb when its generaly a month earlier, so it makes sense that "summer "will stay longer than usual, so end Sept is like end-August in earlier years. Expect max temps to fall below 38C only after late October...
