We have had an offer for grade 1 at JPS starting in January. We're moving from Australia in December.
I hadn't originally considered this school because I thought getting in would be near impossible.

I was just wanting some feedback. It is SO different to the type of education my child is currently receiving. He goes to a small local public school. JPS seems so big and formal in comparison. Does anyone have any feedback that might help me out????

And if we go JPS and husband's work is near Safa Park - should we just live in Jumeirah to make like easier???

Hi Judy. We moved here in August and both our boys are at PS - yr4 and FS1. Like you I was curious to see how the older one would adjust, having come from a tiny private school in UK to the massive set up at JPS. I have to say that I am very impressed with both his adjustment and the school itself, from its ethos to it's facilities and academic and pastoral curriculum. I would say that he is still adapting but is enjoying it a bit more every day. It has quite a nice balance of discipline and nurturing and I don't find it formal apart from uniforms etc.. As for where to live, Jumeirah would be a good call, as would Safa and Umm Suqueim. We live on the Palm and it takes us about 20-25 mins in morning. Depends what you are after. Good luck and don't hesitate to get in touch if you want any more info.
