same car seat MaxiCosi Pearl, in Bumble Bee 2000 Dhs in Toys R Us DFC same car seat same colour 500 Dhs!!! OK the Toys R Us have a special offer at the moment but still it's around 800 Dhs normaly I think...so huge difference in price

same with MaxiCosi Pebble, in Toys R Us it cost at the moment 399 Dhs (special offer) in Bumble Bee it cost 800Dhs

and also if you spend over 500 Dhs in Toys R Us now u get 100 Dhs voucher back so it makes it even cheaper!

so just a heads up for people when shopping for a car seats, it pays to check prices in different stores

I 'researched' this further and it appears that Toys 'r us have lost their dealership for maxi-cosi and quiny products. They now sell their remaining stocks at much discounted prices: Please do all benefit as long as it lasts but realize their might be an issue with after service...

Thanx to this forum ,I was at festival city toys r us over weekend and they have maxi cosi pebble for 399 dhs, however they only have it in lilac with pink at mo. As we're having a girl we picked it up as it's such a bargain price!!!

as far as I know as per their website, there is no new model of MaxiCosi coming up, the only difference is that new colors 2012 are coming in, that it is,u can check new colors on their website Aslo Pebble is the latest model of MaxiCosi for that age group, Cabriofix is the older model. and in my OP I mentioned I compared same model/same color in both shops so really significant price difference HTH

I also noticed the big price difference and was curious to why they were so much cheaper at Toys r Us. The sales guy said its an older model so you cant compare but when i asked what the changes were to the new models he said they dont usually make any large changes in the seats only different colours and fabrics. I still felt it was too cheap as in too good to be true. They were out when i was there so could not buy one anyway but they are getting more stock in next week so will go in again and check them out.

Wow that is an amazing deal. We bought our MaxiCosi Pearl (just black as they had no other colour) at Mothercare 2 weeks ago and paid AED 950 so pulling my hair out now :\: pregnant friend looking for a good deal for two Cabriofix for her twins. Dd anyone see what is the price of those at Toys R Us on this promo? My friend also bought Pearl Jet Black yesterday because that was the only color available! she paid 499 for it, that is why I could not understand huge price difference as we just checked same car seat in Bumble Bee downstairs...not sure about CabrioFix, maybe you can call them and ask but cetrain car seats had "wow" sticker, those were the one with promo price

Thanks a million Citron! I sent hubby to toys r us and the maxi cosi pebble carseat was 399 and I checked Just Kidding on Sheikh Zayed Road and it is 999 there for the exact same pebble in the same color, the huge difference in price is unbelievable!!! Needless to say hubby immediately purchased the one from toys r us ! Thanks for the tip ;)
