A friend of mine who has now left Dubai is trying to find out if the development 'Wadi Walk' in Dubai land is being built. They can not get any information about it, and the developers do not answered their phones.

I would really appreciate any information on this project to pass on to my friend who had invested in this development.

Your friend's heard of Google, right? ;) I just used it, and it took me to the skyscrapercity.com forum, where I learned that all the City of Arabia projects (of which Wadi Walk is one) have been stalled for years, with the exception of Wadi Tower. As is typical in these cases, at least in Dubai, the developers can basically just make out that the investors don't exist (a bit like the projects they invested in), but some of them are trying to club together to present some kind of united front that the developer will find harder to ignore. Anyway, Wadi Walk isn't going to be ready any time soon, if ever. No idea how far along they got with building it before it all ground to a halt; it may be just a patch of empty desert still.
