Wanted a nice brunch just for me and husband, somewhere where we don't look to out of place on our own !! Seen as we aren't taking the kids would be nice to go to one where there aren't too many kids there ! Was thinking Al Qasr but not sure if it's better for groups ?

The new brunch at the Armani is really really lovely. Not sure the name but I think its Peck?? Its like you are going out for a meal, and after the deli starters, you order your antipasta and mains off the menu. Wine is great too. You can pick your timing slots too, so you could do the afternoon or evening. My friends and I went at 6 and finished by 9.30 so we could go out and not be drunk in the afternoon (not a fan!!) The food is great, and because its new, its not too pricey yet...Aproximately 400AED? It is inside though so maybe better saved for summer... edited by JSW on 13/03/2012

Traiteur at the Park Hyatt, get a nice table for two outside. Perfect in this weather we went a few weeks ago and loved it more than anywhere else we've ever been. Enjoy it! :)

We haven't been to a brunch yet, mainly because I thought just the 2 of us would look out of place as in 'no mates'....so this is great news!! Do you happen to know about how much brunch will cost at Al Qasr? I think it is dhs500 each. Great food and a live band. You will have a fab time. Is does get busy so you will need to book asap Also you can eat inside or out. Outside is so nice at the moment :) edited by wiggywig on 13/03/2012

I was at Al Qasr last Friday with a group, but I saw many couples on their own. Enjoy :)

I'd go to The Ivy or would ditich brunch and go to lunch at The One & Only (Beach Bar & Grill or One 0 One) if it were just the two of us. Or Traiteur. edited by suze63 on 13/03/2012

Spectrum on One @ The Fairmont would be nice too, but that is inside and the weather is so nice you should make the most of being outdoors so I think Al Qasr too!

Don't see anything wrong with Al Qasr, always went in a group but DH and I are planning to go by ourselves this Friday. I'd feel more out of place at Bubbalicious or Yalumba without a group of friends to be honest, those brunches are far rowdier! Sorry I couldn't give any more suggestions.

If I had the chance to ditch the children and go to brunch with just my husband I'd definitely go to Al Qasr!
