DD has told me she has been put in a proper office for her work experience - much better IMO than being put in a pet shop or cafe, although probably not as fun.

Naturally she has absolutely nothing to wear - she can't/won't wear school uniform (I wouldn't either tbh), and her wardrobe comprises of jeans/t-shirts/plimpsols.

So what would you send your teenage DD in. OK it's only a week, but.... And I don't want to spend an arm and a leg which I don't have spare on clothes she will only wear that one week.

hopefully she will get some information on this - preferably sooner rather than later! Thanks ladies.

If you can find out the dress code of the place where she works then it makes a huge difference, some places are really strict whereas others aare very casual. For example, where I work the dress code is smart-casual. Pretty much any dresses are allowed, we're also allowed to wear leggings...anything other than jeans really (although you can get away with black jeans)! Then on Thursday's jeans are allowed, so we can dress casual. Maybe a couple of dresses would be a good option as well, at least you know she will re-use them later...no need for them to be too formal. Definitely a pair of black trousers. Someone suggested Splash, also try Max as it's very cheap as well.

I second AmyAus's suggestion. Why not have a look in Splash? They seem to do a range of pretty cheap and cheerful blouses and jersey tops which would be ideal to pair up with a pair of trousers.

It really depends, what kind of office is she in? Is she in a place like DIFC (more corporate), or a something like a marketing agency which is a bit more casual?
