Decent and affordable dentists in Dubai?

My boyfriend has recently discovered that his medical aid has been changed from having dental insurance last year to having none this year.

I'm not actually sure where I can look to try and compare prices, I generally wait to go home to South Africa and get my teeth done to save some money, but his one tooth is really giving him grief.

Anyone out there got a nice dentist that they can recommend? He hasn't got the best paying job in the world, so preferably one that isn't going to cost him a lot. If it helps, the problematic tooth seems to be developing a hole and eating sweet things can be painful.

Thanks in advance!

We don't have dental insurance either so can empathise. I have extreme dental phobia and have managed to undergo a huge amount of treatment (cosmetic) with Dr Eva at Dr Michal's clinic having been forced to go becasue a lump of my tooth cracked off...that resulted in a crown which was 6000 AED, followed by a check up and a filling which came to about 2000 AED if that gives you an idea of prices (the cosmetic stuff was mega money but worth it). So I can highly recomend her. Following on from a recomendation here, my DD and DH go to Doctor Madhu in Karama and DH is very happy with him and he charges a fraction of what I pay. Lots of people here recommend him.
