to make tacos and tortillas, you need masa harina. I've seen it at Safestway. I've also seen a maize meal product from South Africa at Spinneys in their baking aisle, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing as masa harina.

Hi there. You can buy white corn-meal (masa) from Lulu's in Al Barsha. Just bought some. You can use this to make tortilla etc. HTH

I buy Quaker yellow corn meal from Park n Shop and have seen it other places as well. I have also seen Aunt Jemima brand corn meal at Park n Shop.

corn starch is american for corn flour (UK) - same thing Yes, but American "cornflour" isn't cornstarch, it's an actual flour used to make breads. tortillas etc. Sometimes it's sold outside US as maize flour.

I do know that some of you usually get your corn flour from C4 or Choithram but can anyone share the exact name of the brand? I went looking for these and couldn't find any other than the Foster Clark's one (which I believe is actually Corn Starch instead).
