We had a wonderful experience with Bakhtaver (Bakti) Ayrton at The Developing Child Centre. She did a thorough initial assessment, was clearly not out to get us to spend more money or schedule more...

Hello, Wondering if you have found some help, as my daughter has the same challenge and needs an Occupational therapist. Do you know also if there are some affordable OT, and also if insurance co...

We had a wonderful experience with Bakhtaver (Bakti) Ayrton at The Developing Child Centre. She did a thorough initial assessment, was clearly not out to get us to spend more money or schedule more lessons than we needed -- compared to other OTs I spoke to, she was the most calm about his needs and knew he could improve quickly. We scheduled two lessons per week, one private and one in a group - both had benefits. She gave him targeted exercises to do daily to strengthen his core and upper body, and taught him to join his handwriting in a very effective way which led to immediate improvements in his writing in terms of spacing, sizing and formation. We did the homework/home exercises faithfully so he had lots of home support. He's done very well since then and did not need to return after one summer of lessons. Our insurance didn't cover it, but the money we spent on Bakti was worth every penny.

Dubai Community Health Centre has a really good OT called Deepa. 04 5078000 Disagree! Very disappointed with her approach & professional conduct. We are happy with Michelle at TDCC.

Can highly recommend the Developing Child Centre (TDCC) -- very warm and professional approach from their OT and they also have family workshops on skills building in children. They just invited me to an open session/discussion happening tomorrow about how to prevent bullying. www.tdcc.ae I've actually heard great things about the developing child center but I didn't know they did occupational therapy as well?

My 4 year old goes to Kids First. It was recommended to me by her speech therapist. Frankly this is my only experience with O/T so I cannot compare it to any other places but for what it is worth I am happy there. The staff is very warm and my child actually enjoys her sessions. I have also noticed improvement. Speaking with the other parents in the waiting room they all seem satisfied there as well with all the therapists and some have switched over from elsewhere.
