I know this is late. But it is possible. You won't get the deposit back for your pregnant housemaid till she leaves dubai, so you will have to pay another deposit for the new housemaid. It is quite easy to employ two housemaids. I only had problems when we wanted to hire a driver (no.4). Needed to get special permission and bring in some extra papers.

Our maid of 5 years is pregnant and will be finishing her contract with us on August 2. We will cancel her visa and she's going back home to have her baby. We have found her replacement, but [i'>her[/i'> visa has already been cancelled by her current sponsor and her 30 days grace period is up on July 13. I want to avoid her accruing overstay fines - does anyone know if we can change her visa status, pay the deposit etc (basically get her pink slip), [b'>before[/b'> we have cancelled our current maid's visa? We can then finalise the new maid's sponsorship after August 2.
