A Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon who has done over 10,000 arthroscopic operations
He is a German Specialist in general and orthopedic surgery with more than 36 years’ experience in treating surgical and orthopedic problems. He has worked in private practice in Germany and as Consultant for the Helios Hospital Chain from 1991 to 2005 and has achieved extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement surgery for shoulder, hip, knee and ankle and has done more than 10,000 arthroscopic operations during this time.
Additional specializations were achieved in minimally invasive surgery techniques in shoulder and elbow surgery and foot and ankle surgery, sports injuries and trauma surgery during his postdoctoral training in multiple European countries and the United States. In 1995, he was given the title “Instructor for Arthroscopic Surgery“ from the AGA (German-speaking Arthroscopy Association).
He is a Member of ISAKOS, AO Trauma and Founder Member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).He is Member of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) and in 2017, he was appointed as Fellow Member of ICRS.
