Dr. Ellie obtained her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2005, also completing an intercalated degree in Sports Medicine. She then completed her General Practice training in the UK. During this training she gained a wide range of experience in specialities including Emergency Medicine, ENT, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Internal Medicine.
She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK. Alongside her general practice, she has maintained a side interest in Sports Medicine. Before relocating to Dubai, Dr. Ellie was a GP partner in a busy Edinburgh surgery. Her role included management of chronic diseases including diabetes, heart disease and hypertension amongst others. Dr. Ellie is also confident in the management of acute illness in all age groups. She practices holistic medicine at all times, adhering to evidence based guidelines. She is used to treating patients from newborn through to the elderly and infirm.
