Heads up! More rainfall predicted this week...
On Thursday evening, Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced that all government and private schools, nurseries, universities, and colleges must offer distance learning for their students on Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3.
This is in light of possible adverse weather expected towards the end of this week, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Parents and students are urged to prepare for remote learning as schools and universities close on Thursday and Friday.
NCM has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall over scattered areas through the emirates from Wednesday evening. According to experts, there is also a chance of lightning and thunder in some parts of the UAE in the next two days, with a probability of hail in other areas.
The weather is expected to clear up by Friday, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in southern and eastern areas in the UAE.
