UAE schools to re-open in September

Schools, nurseries, universities, and colleges in the UAE are scheduled to re-open this September following the summer holidays.

There has been no recent updates if schools will continue using distance-learning programmes for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) said that “it’s still unknown what form it will take or whether that will change.”

Students across the country adopted distance-learning programmes as schools and universities temporarily shut down as a preventative measure against the COVID-19 pandemic.

UAE health officials confirmed 941 new cases of coronavirus, 1,018 further recoveries, and six deaths, bringing the total diagnosed count to 26,004.
