My friend was suspicious of her husband and today checked his phone to find a message from another woman that indicated she was in a relationship with her husband. She wants to confront him but knows he would've deleted the text by now and will deny it, also she now feels bad about looking at his phone, should she confront him or wait for further evidence?

That's just asking for trouble. Just confront him about the message.

She has no reason to feel bad for looking at his phone. That is her right. She needs to confront him ASAP. If he confesses, then she can then forgive him. It's her right to check his phone? If someone has to do that, then they have serious trust issues. Why keep secrets in a marriage? What's mine is yours and vice versa.... I stand by my belief that she has the right to do spot checks on his phone.

I would wait till he's asleep then text the girlfriend proposing A secret meeting and if she turns up, your friend would have her proof

Tough one, because he'll be upset she was snooping on his phone. But then something must have niggled her to check it in the first place - women's intuition and all that.

What do you mean he'll deny a text message? She knows what she saw right? what other proof does she need?
