Has anyone made alterations to the outside of their villa/garden? Did you get permission? They have set (silly) rules rather than looking at each individual case and we are debating whether to just go ahead and take it down when we sell if necessary in ten years!

They can come and ask you to remove it..we had them call and say something on our property is a "violation" but i told them we are not the owners and he went away lol

They can access without going in the security gate so that's not a problem. It's a shade for the garden they say it can't be more than 20sqm which is tiny and we are south facing.

The problem will actually be them allowing the people in to do the work. What are you looking to do? I have a bit of experience getting approvals from Emaar (many different things). You have to get the NOC to do some type of work in order to allow the company (who must have a trade license) to get security access passes. Otherwise, security will not allow any of the work vans, materials, etc into the gate...and can kick the guys off your property if they don't have permissions. What are they saying is the problem getting the permissions?
