Actually that's unfair; when she's good, she's really, really good. Shame it's not that often. (ETA, to my previous comment) edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 12/02/2011

I love to listen to her, an amazing voice, but can't bear to watch. I thought she was getting better, I read the other day, the National I think that her new BF is Ronnie Wood, and he was sorting her out!! :\::\:

Because her antics are newsworthy, I assume.

Yeah but Ozzy can still put on a very good show - that's why I just think there's no excuse, she just looked like she couldn't be bothered

Well that clip on You Tube is something else! :\: I think she's done an Ozzy Osborne - brain addled now due to too much booze and drugs. Sad state of affairs.

A spokesperson for Amy said: "Amy had technical problems and couldn't hear herself during the gig. One of her in-ear monitors wasn't working properly." :-P This is not a pop at you SM..... you are simply reporting ;) But for goodness sake, if she had tech probs that shouldn't have stopped her from smiling and at least making some kind of effort to entertain her audience!! The more I think of it the more I can't believe how rubbish she was!!! I remember seeing her perform at Glastonbury a few years back (watched on TV) ..... it was actually quite entertaining because she was so clearly VERY out of it ...... flumoxed security and the camera guys as she decided to walk off stage and wander around the crowd mid song .... now that was entertaining!!! ;)

Was she looking for the in-ear monitor in her massive beehive? That explains the hair touching...lol

Aroha, the vast majority of the audience were willing her to do well and not hostile at all. Rehab was quite a few songs in and she'd pretty much lost the audience by that stage. I didn't agree with the booing at all but the crowd reaction could have been a lot worse, I've seen people bottled off stage in the UK for putting on a better show than Amy did last night. Top marks to her band for their effort though, at least they were trying!

Arohadxb, I have seen much worse audiences than that! Sorry but if she is still distressed then she shouldn't be performing, charging for it, and disappointing her fans. People cancel concerts all the time because they know they won't be up to scratch - that's the decent thing to do surely. I have seen so many concerts, and I have never seen anything like that, such contempt for the fans. It's not on. She wasn't even trying, right from the start!

You know what, if I personally was confronted with as hostile an audience as that, I'd be rolling my eyes, checking my nails and counting the seconds til I could get off stage too. She doesnt look wasted, she looks criminally shy and uncomfortable. When the backing people came up to speak to her, it seemed as if they wanted her off stage to give her a moment to recover. Yes, I get you have paid money to see her and can expect a professional performance, which wasnt delivered...but for all of 'you' catcalling and booing, did you ever once consider that she is young woman and in a lot of distress (whatever the reason) ? That kind of audience participation is more commonly found on a sports field and is equally distasteful there. Sorry but I disagree. She is paid to perform and had she 'performed' there wouldn't have been any booing!! edited by Loopy Lotti on 12/02/2011

If she's that shy and uncomfortable wtf is she doing performing live on stage? Surely she should know what she can and can't do and stick to her limitations. I think the reaction was probably a result of her poor performance, not a greeting from the audience. I saw a video of her performing ages ago (not sure how old the video was) and I was blown away by how d*mned good she was.

Just watched the video! Got to say, she doesn't look wasted or out of it to me either - she DOES look completely bored and fed up. Checking her nails? I mean really?! I would also try and complain to her management or the organisers - I do think there are going to be a lot of 'angry and idsappointed' letters in 7days tomorrow!

Just watched the video.... :\: It almost looks as though she's just humming a bit until she can finish and get her paycheque. Shameful! And she does not look wasted so don't think that's an excuse...in fact there have been some amazing performers throughout the years who have been high as kites and put on incredible shows anyway. Low points - checking her nails whilst 'singing', inspecting the mic whilst 'singing', picking her nose whilst 'singing', scratching at herself whilst 'singing'. Looks to me like she's just out to make money, with the 'support' of her management. I would be hassling the record company for my money back TBH! How old is Rehab now? She's a tired old act who's using her one hit song to rip people off. Makes me really mad, having seen some AMAZING artists and shows, and how hard they work to show the crowd a good time.

Its taken me over half of today to get over the trauma of that concert! Was she even singing her songs? It was like i had heard the lyrics for the first time. What a disaster.. shame on her for getting up on that stage. I had a friend fly for the weekend to see her....imagine the disappointment. I would have left after her first two songs but couldnt abandon my friend. Towards the end she had a smirk on her face that suggested she was thinking...All you m*rons bought the tickets and now i have my money to go get my fix. That does not make me sympathetic to her at all. I thought that the crowd was quite tolerant given the disaster that her performance was.

Seriously, this woman has a well documented drug and alcohol problem, did you really expect anything else?

No energy, no sparkle, no effort, nothing at all that could be described as 'performing'!! She'd might as well be humming a hymn whilst doing the washing up!!! It is indeed very very sad ....i just can't believe her management let her get away with that kind of non performance. That said, who know's what words passed between them post event :\: edited by Loopy Lotti on 12/02/2011

I went and just found it very sad and hard to watch at times - she should not have been up there. I am well aware of her reputation but was hoping she had put all that behind her and was on her way to recovering - unfortunatly not, poor girl.

I don't think I'd be livid, just terribly terribly sad. And for her to listen to that booing, dreadful.

awful - but funny too in a painful way - unless you bought a ticket!! Love the sound in the background of someone singing 'go go go' when she sings 'no no no' - sums it up really!

And so it begins........ http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/music/2011/02/12/amy-winehouse-booed-off-stage-in-dubai-115875-22916915/ [i'>The 27-year-old singer was said to be “incoherent and tipsy” according to one ex-fan, who said: “Before she’d got through three songs people were streaming out and most of those who stayed were booing.[/i'> Those who stayed were hoping that with encouragement she would give the performance we yearned and paid for. When she did pick up so did the crowd willing her to continue after being seduced by the odd second or two of 'old Amy' talent. Yes there was a little booing but there was a lot more shaking of heads and pity. [i'>“Her backing dancer took the mic and told Amy to be quiet. The crowd cheered when he took over!”[/i'> I didn't see the backing singer tell her to be quiet and I didn't hear a cheer when he sang. Yes he was good but the 3 songs he performed were not familiar to many in the audience. Most attendees spent this time speculating if she would return and cranning their necks to see if she was in the wings. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that The Mirror has lived up to it's reputation of exaggeration and blurring the truth. There were high hopes for Amy's return to performing after being off the stage for 2 years. However it was abundantly obvious that she was not ready and is far from healthy. Her management has a lot to answer for. I hope she gets the help she needs because what we saw last night was a completely waste of natural talent.

So sorry to say this, but why would anyone buy tickets to her concert? She is a mess! After she lost track in her life a few years back, she has not been able to perform. Not once has she been on stage and delivered even a mediocre show after her downfall started. She will perform as long as people buy tickets - no matter what she delivers. She has failed everywhere she has performed, but people still buy tickets... It is sad. How would people know this in advance though unless it was publicsed that her live concerts were not good? I love her music and have her albums but had no idea that she was such a useless mess, I was under the impression she had clean her act up. The tickets should of come with a warning!
