For those that chose to go to Abu Dhabi last night, Eric Clapton was fantastic. 65 years old and as good as ever. Wish I'd gone here instead! Did he play Beautiful Tonight? (my favourite!) Yes he did. Wonderful show. PS we took the provided bus from JBR and it worked quite well (despite the Friday night traffic/parking fiasco at The Walk)

Ah, schadenfreude. The choice of the EW generation... Not at all, I was just pointing out that Eric Clapton was well worth going to.... Rest assured I have nothing but sympathy for those who did not get value for the cost of their ticket. edited by frampton on 12/02/2011

So sorry to say this, but why would anyone buy tickets to her concert? She is a mess! After she lost track in her life a few years back, she has not been able to perform. Not once has she been on stage and delivered even a mediocre show after her downfall started. She will perform as long as people buy tickets - no matter what she delivers. She has failed everywhere she has performed, but people still buy tickets... It is sad. because most of us do not have time to read every celeb gossip, so for example i had no idea that she has turned into such a useless mess. (btw i had no tickets, but was trying to get some last minute)

so she has been acting like this all the time, but still she gets invited for new and new gigs and still people pay fortunes for it. maybe it makes her to think people want this?? what was the reaction of the audience yesterday, any booing, throwing eggs, etc?

she gets booed off stage alot, not just here. Seems like this is regular occurence for her. She should stick to making records because they are great. Not a great performer though.

i was winging all day that i didnt get tickets, after reading all this, so glad i didnt go now. i had got tickets in manchester few years back to see her but she cancelled the gig anyways, as she was drunk or something. Amy, give it up lov, you are no more! im surprised they even let her in the country after the drink and drugs. edited by Mulberry on 12/02/2011 edited by Mulberry on 12/02/2011

We felt sorry for the gold ticket holders who had paid 1000 dhs each to see that shower of sh*t. She should be ashamed of herself. She clearly didnt want to be there and looked totally bored. I've just calculated how much it cost us for a night out to see her 600 dhs for 2 tickets, 140 dhs return taxi, 150 dhs babysitter, 140 dhs beers. I wish i'd have stayed at home now!

None of this surprises me and it's exactly why I didn't bother getting a ticket. People shouldn't be surprised, all her concerts are generally a shambles and she just needs to disappear and sort herself out, instead of flogging a dead horse. Why on earth they booked the acts they did for 'BIKE' week is beyond me.

oh dear. Made the decision back when the tickets first went on sale that we wouldnt be going precisely because of this...really wish had been proved wrong :( I'm with you arohadxb. Really sad that it didn't come up to scratch, but not surprised.

Third time I've seen her- Glastonbury, Brixton Academy and the Tots R Us are car park at DFC. The latter undoubtedly the worst. Shockingly bad. LOL at Tots r US!

Really disappointed. Like an earlier poster, also felt sorry for her and thought maybe the mike/ speakers at fault but then the backing singers sung and were great, no problem technically! Think she was bored, disinterested and arrogant, didn't even bother to greet her crowd, picking her fingers for gawds sake. She was 1 hour and 13 minutes from start to finish, disappeared in the middle for what, 20 minutes and spent another 20 minutes on solos from each (excellent) band member and mumbled the first half. Second half passable but she'd lost everyone by then. I didn't support the booing but..... Really wish I'd donated my ticket price to a good cause and not bothered. I hope she feels bad about tonight and the let down. What do u all think?

would have been a little more bearable if the miniscule bar had not taken 1 hour to get to! Shocking organization! Then the bar shut at ridiculous o'clock so we just joined the mass exodus and left. Just when you thought my night couldn't get any worse, made the mistake of going to the Belgium beer factory! never again!!

Such a shame - her encore was actually really good, but by that point most people had given up. If only she'd carried it like that the whole way through. I honestly thought she wasn't going to come back on stage at one point, but I imagine there was a clause in her contract that said she wouldn't get the full pay cheque if she didn't complete the gig!!

I had a good time dancing away at the front .... She needs to preform in Small shows etc and maybe give up on the concerts hehe Think I saw you, you were even dancing without music! Was that you?

I think she wasn't so bad after she returned...Think she was cold and disturbed by the blinking big wheel (she always looked in that direction) and yes soundcheck is sth you should do before...

I think she needs to go back to rehab baby!!! I work in events... the first song being bad could be blammed on a bad sound check and a sh*t front of house engineer. But the whole gig no!!! She needs to go back to rehab... Checking out nails... nearly failing over... fighting with backing dancers... and forgetting words... I want a refund baby!!!

Her voice is amazing - I think it was worth taking the gamble! Her voice was nowhere tonight. She should stop torturing herself and just sing in small settings. It was a NO Performance tonight. Her band singers plus instrumental performers where trying their best to make something of Amy's lack of performing.
