Is it worth a visit? Husband drove past there earlier this evening and saw hundreds of flamingos.

i'd love to go. Is it a place that involves a lot of walking or is it more 'safari park' style?

Went last week, didn't need a permit. Open 10:00 - 16:00 although they start shutting up shop from about 15:30. Plenty of flamingo's when we went, I find the one on the 66 is the best, they also have some binoculars you can borrow.

went ages ago, no permit needed. There are 2 spots with bird hides I think. Took Mum and Dad, they loved it. Actually, would be a good thing to do with older visitors as it's easy to access and not far to walk, maybe 100m or so.

I took the kids last year, they really enjoyed it. We managed to get there when they were feeding the birds, by luck, so lots of birds very close to the look out building. The kids loved it. HTH
