I searched spinney's but couldn't find butter flavoured shortening... or any type of shortening for that matter. Anyone know where I could find it?

Thanks!!

What's wrong with just plain butter? Best thing since sliced bread for shortcrust pastry...

Please check the ingedients list of any 'shortening' - transfats are oftens labelled as such, and given how terrible they are (the UK Govt has agreeents in place with fast food manufacturers to put a ban in place within the next year) - they are often called 'hydrogenated' fat or oil. Please don't feed this knowingly to your family!

I've been on the lookout for it since I'm ready to start making my pie crusts ahead of time for the holidays. I also got Crisco at Safestway a week ago so I know they have it too. Lulus had it in the oil section but wasn't Crisco brand but still shortening.

Spinney's on MC has Crisco shortening. I just saw it yesterday. It's in the baking aisle to the left if the flour by the cake mixes.
