ladies... looking to organise a baby shower early november and am scouting out for potential venues... any recommendations for a place that can accommodate around 30-40 guests for an afternoon tea sort of event that is lovely and ambient as well?

thanks!

Cafe Ceramique and Bateel Cafe in Town Centre on Beach Rd frequently host baby showers. Bateel Cafe has better food, but Cafe Ceramique has seating opposite a huge French window looking towards Beach Rd AND an outside terrace w/ seating.

Went to the O & Only recently and thought it was very good value for 99. We came out groaning!! Don't know if you would get 30 - 40 people in one area though, you may be a bit spread out, unless they can re-arrange the tables for you. If it's not too hot, there is a nice terrace with views over the gardens. The Westin also do a reasonably priced A.tea but that is in the lobby.

Why don't you try the Park Hyatt in Deira - it serves a lovely high tea, had a nice quiet area - both indoor and outdoor (depending on the weather) and is well priced (you pay around 80\- I think. i did... they're booked out on the date i am looking at :(

Do you mean under 150Dhs each? yes... ideally i'm looking for some place that has a great setting (so i wont have to spend too much on decor) so maybe something with a nice view? ideally i'd like to spend something between 90-130 per head for the afternoon tea
