Thank you 4princesses and Fairycakemum for your replies. Fairycakemum - I called the number you provided... Thank you so so much. Problem solved. The quote was considerably cheaper than Dumasafe . Thanks

Fairycakemum Unfortunately, the way the landing is, we are not able to put stair gates up to block off the problem area. :( Thanks

We had this problem but we just installed gates at either end so the lo s couldn't get near the banister or the stairs what so ever so it was all blocked off . They just had access to the landing by their bedrooms. A friend couldn't do what I did and went to al quoz and got clear strong pastic and fitted it to the banister so there was no gaps etc. edited by fairycakeyumm on 24/08/2011

Hi I have checked all the baby shops, Ace and Dubai Garden Centre We have a large landing at the top of the stairs. The landing then looks down to the hallway. The banister has these metal poles that go across from one wall to another. Perfect for a toddler (which we have) to climb on and potentially fall down into the hallway or get her head stuck in between them and/or throw her toys down into the hallway. Moving in next week and we need to urgently have this sorted out. Im having nightmares of what could possibly happen if I don't get this sorted before we move in!!!!!! Banister guards are available in the UK and the US, but not in Dubai. So the next alternative is to have someone make us made to measure perspext or acrylic sheets that we can attach to the banister and baby proof the whole thing. Does anyone know of any companies/shops that provide this service? or anyone have any other ideas of what we can use to baby proof this? TIA
